BEAUTIFUL BITS

Slowly pecking away at some textile prep work in between diapers and Sesame Street. The hubs is home for Spring break next week.  I'm hoping to have some more time in front of the sewing machine, and have my first bags LIVE in the shop by the end of the week!

In the meantime I'm stealing creative moments. Some things:

Hand-dyed swatches drying in the sunroom like prayer flags.

Vintage needlepoint is beautiful, but vintage needlepoint dyed fuschia is WOW.

Dip-dyed handmade crochet.

Old school tie dye.

A tapestry scrap gets the hot orange treatment. When you get up close, the detail of this woven piece is sick. The white space picked up the orange dye and it is yummy.

This damask was a dated pale yellow. The pink makes it ultra girly and brings out the texture.

Some things I'm considering for bags. I love making little piles of ideas. I really need a studio!!

Stay tuned to see how it all comes together.
Happy Friday!
